In December 2009, Roberto landed in the great English football by signing a contract (assisted by lawyer Silvia Fortini of Studio Fortini in Rome) with Sheikh Mansour's Manchester City who wanted to make the club one of the superpowers in Europe.
Actually it was a comeback in the Premier League for Mancini after a brief spell as a player with the Leicester jersey in 2001. At the end of his first season as Citizens coach he reached the qualification for the Europa League and ended the following term with the first Champions League qualification in the history of Manchester City and - most importantly - with the victory in the FA Cup breaking a 35-year title drought.
2011/12 was the year of the great triumph as City won the Premier League after 44 years and Roberto Mancini officially entered the history of the club also adding a Community Shield to the trophy cabinet.
